We listen, care, and unleash possibilities together.
Hello, and congrats on making it here! You have made your first step in unleashing potential and possibilities! My name is Amanda, and I am a Licensed Individual Social Work Supervisor. I began my journey into the world of social work in 2002. I started in nonprofit agencies serving single parents and worked my way to providing therapeutic services in 2013. I graduated with a master's degree in social work from the University of New England, in Maine.
I have had the honor and privilege to work within varying environments, with varying cultures, ethnicities, and with diverse and resilient individuals and families in both California and Ohio. My family and I relocated to Ohio in 2019 and love it here! I am married to a wonderful person, a mom to four boys, two dogs, and two cats!
I am passionate about what I chose to do with my life, which is support, educate, advocate, and walk with people in difficult moments, and situations. I work with a diverse age and range of concerns and specialize in ADHD and Autism. Being Neurodivergent myself, I find myself drawn to spreading awareness, and understanding of mental health, particularly neurodiverse individuals. This includes supporting the families of neurodiverse children and adults. My knowledge and interests are wide and vast and include being an ally.
When I am not walking alongside people through life's ups and downs, I am outside! My family and I love to fish, camp, hike, joke, and laugh. We love a good BBQ, and exploring what nature has to offer here in Ohio. Playing games and chilling out in front of a movie is fun too!
My approach to therapy is tailored to your needs. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental, and honest atmosphere for you to be unapologetically you. I will honor and respect your lived experience, values, culture, and strengths. We will collaborate, and to uncover your personal meaning, hopes you have for your future, and the tools available to uncover and unleash your possibilities, and desires for your transformation.
Therapy can sometimes be difficult, and is a serious process, but there is always humor and creativity to ease transition. We will definitely laugh and celebrate successes along the way! Whether therapy is your first step into unleashing possibilities, or it is one of your last options, it takes courage and strength to make this decision. Congrats on your choice!
